How much does cat care cost in Baix Llobregat?
The standard rate is €22 per 50–60 minute visit. On bank holidays or the eve of a bank holiday, it's €30. For short visits of 20–30 minutes it's €17 (€23 on bank holidays). The pre-visit to meet you is always free. There is no fixed fee or commitment: you only pay for the services you book.
How many times a day does the cat need to be visited?
The usual pattern is one visit every 24 hours, but it depends on each cat. If your cat needs more attention (twice-daily medication, a kitten, a cat with health issues), we can do 2 visits a day. We agree on the plan that suits them best during the pre-visit.
Can I book the service for just one day?
Yes, there's no minimum number of days. You can book a single visit or as many as you need. The free pre-visit is always the first step, and from there you decide with no obligation.
What if I cancel or change the dates?
If you cancel or change with more than 7 days' notice, no charge. With less than 7 days, the full service is charged. If you've paid in advance and cancel outside the notice period, the amount is not refunded. Bookings made with less than 48 hours' notice carry a €2 supplement per service.
Is the pre-visit really free?
Yes. The pre-visit is our first meeting: we come to your home, I meet your cat, I see where the food, litter box and medication are kept, and we answer your questions. It's the foundation for the service to work well. If you decide not to continue afterwards, no problem.
Do I supply the food, or do I have to buy it?
You supply the food, litter, medication, etc. My job is to administer them following your instructions. The only things I bring are my own cleaning kit for the litter box and my camera for the photos.
Do you administer medication? What kind?
Yes. I can administer oral medication (pills, syrups), subcutaneous injectables (such as insulin), ear and eye drops, ointments, and do basic wound care. I follow whatever the vet has prescribed. If the treatment is complex, we discuss it at the pre-visit.
Which areas do you cover?
Barcelona city, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat, Cornellà de Llobregat, Sant Joan Despí, Sant Just Desvern, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Molins de Rei, Sant Boi de Llobregat, El Prat de Llobregat, Viladecans, Gavà and Castelldefels. Key handovers in Esplugues are free; elsewhere it's €8 each way.
What if my cat gets ill while I'm away?
If I notice anything unusual, I let you know immediately. If urgent vet care is needed, I take the cat to the nearest veterinary centre (with the carrier you leave me) and keep you informed throughout. We agree an emergency protocol during the pre-visit.
How do I know my cat is OK? Will I get photos?
Yes — after every visit I send photos and a short note about how your cat is. I send them on WhatsApp as soon as the visit ends, so you know everything is fine even when you're far away. If there's anything noteworthy, I call you.
Do you work weekends and bank holidays?
Yes, 365 days a year. Bank holidays and eves carry a special rate (standard visit €30 instead of €22), but the service and care are the same.
Do I need to give you the keys?
Most families do, because while they're away I'm the one entering the home. At the pre-visit you can hand them to me (or we can agree a safe place if you prefer not to). Key handovers in Esplugues are free; in other areas it's €8 per delivery/return.
